Velocity Art And Design has been proud to offer Blu Dot since our earliest days online. Blu Dot furniture was founded by John Christakos, Charles Lazor and Maurice Blanks in 1996. Blu Dot began as a collaborative of three college friends trained in architecture and art, based on the premise that design should be affordable. The partners chose modern furniture as the subject of interest and opened a studio and operations in Minneapolis. Blu Dot has continued to expand their line of elegant modern home furnishings while keeping in affordability in mind. They have expanded their line to include upholstered sofas, dining tables, storage, and seating.

"Our goal is to bring good design to as many people as possible. Which means creating products that are useful, affordable, and desirable. To make that happen, our design process is founded on collaboration. Not just among ourselves as we play show-and-tell with concepts, but a total collaboration between pencil and paper, materials and machines, even packaging and assembly.
