Welcome to the Heather Amuny-Dey shop
Heather’s works are paintings, cut-paper collages, screen prints, and a collection of hand-carved wooden birds. The carved wooden birds are part of an ongoing collaborative project between Heather and her father, Jack Amuny.
Heather is a second-generation designer. Jack had Heather working with an X-Acto knife and Letraset from a young age: you’ve never seen such stylish Science Fair projects. Growing up as an assistant in her father’s studio, Heather developed a love for design that goes above and beyond just a career choice. She spends her days as a Creative Director at Nike Brand Design where she works with her husband, Art Director and Photographer, Jeff Dey. Heather Amuny, Heather’s mother, is an avid bird watcher and has ensured that her daughter and husband are never without a pair of binoculars.
Heather has been a speaker at various national and international design conferences. Her work has been shown in design publications around the world including iD, Metropolis and Communication Arts, The Cooper-Hewitt Museum in NYC, Fifty24SF and Super 7 in San Francisco and Compound Gallery and OFFICE in Portland.
These works are dedicated to the memory of Gertrude Amuny, who always took time to watch the birds.
