The Walnut Top Set by Herman Miller

The Herman Miller Select Program is back with another limited edition release, a collection of spinning tops that are as beautiful as they are playful. This year's release was inspired by Charles and Ray Eames, who were avid toy collectors and designers. They considered playtime as productive time, priming the brain for ideation and problem solving. Charles once noted, "Toys are not really as innocent as they look. Toys and games are preludes to serious ideas."

Using the Eameses' passion for toys and their 1969 film "Tops", stylish New York City design studio, KleinReid took the challenge to create a line of tops for the Herman Miller. The result: a set of three innovative tops sculpted from walnut, each with a unique profile and personality, as much art as they are toys.
